What Brian does at work.

Well, some of you would like to know a little bit about what I do at work. You get the short (non-technical) version with pictures. Some of them sideways!

This... Is a ladder rack. It holds what some would describe as a "shit ton" of wires. I think the measurement is metric. Anyone with servers in our Colo needs a wire!

This... is a lab! We put equipment together in a lab environment before it gets into the field to be sure of what we're doing. This lab is say... $15,000 or so worth of routers and firewalls.

Output from a linux installation. Yay.

This fat boy (sideways) is the FM200! If a fire is detected in our data center, it sprays a dusty particulate into the air. if the particulate comes in contact with extreme heat, it neutralizes the source. They say it's non toxic, but dust leaving huge drum at 16psi can't be good for you if you breathe it.

Baxter had one of these... it killed someone when it went off. The elbow piping wasn't a high enough pressure rating and basically acted like a grenade.

We've since had our elbow pipes replaced.

Tech support area. Cubes cubes and more cubes of support monkeys.

It's Jim! He fixes things!

Shot of a bunch of our servers.
